It strikes me that both real journalism and our legislative branch do not work under emergency speed. It takes seconds to tear something down and hours, days, or weeks to respond effectively.
I fear the damage done to our country in such a short time will take decades to repair.
Our good friends Val and Kenzie lost their home in Altadena as part of the fires. Along with their two kids and dog they are safe, but will have a long road ahead. Any help you could throw their way, if you have the means, would be appreciated.
