but don't forget; your future mechanic and future agriculturist are also using chatgpt to pass their exams, so you better start building your own bike and grow your own food 😅
It's all about the Story of the Movie "Idiocracy"
@duanegran i'll ride a bike all the way to the chatgpt server farm. and once i get there, i'll
have a nice healthy picnic of course :3
@Shanmonster @duanegran different people have different needs. For most people about 5km is the threshold between "quick and easy ride" and "effort and sweating involved, and time invest".
If you like to walk - go ahead. If you like to ride longer than 5km - feel free. But please don't assume your preferences would be good for everybody.
The beauty of med school is that they test your knowledge fiercely and in detail. If you cannot accurately identify and describe every part of the body and its function you’re gonna fail. Diagnosis is another thing and could be a problem if they use ChatGPT, ie blatantly disregard everything they were taught in practice. I won’t worry as it will be the shit doctors using it and they would probably have killed me anyway.
@duanegran
And he will be reading clinical trials reported by chatGPT too likely...
Counterpoint: You're in the deep dark Africa. Your nurse station is 150 km away via a "road" passable only by 4x4 that gets a Doctor visit once a month. But you have a cell signal.
...or you live in the US where patients shoot insurance executives in the head because they are denied care.
@duanegran
And current doctors refuse to mask to protect themselves or others, get re-infected with covid known to cause issues in brain tissue (simply said = IQ drops), and are crazy overworked as their peers and they themselves are constabtly sick while ER's worldwide are stacked up with more and more sick people.
Enshittification and eugenics are on full steam, so the GPT crowd fits right in to the pool of many morons. (:
(I am anti AI btw, just frustrated with healthcare)
@mjd Machine learning systems can already do that!
...oh, wait, you mean you also want their diagnoses to be accurate?
Bold to assume that the future doctor is still human themselve.
Which makes staying as health cas possible even more important.
@duanegran They learn to contextualise their knowledge in their residency when they actually use their inductive thinking skills in practice by shadowing senior doctors diagnose and treat real patients
Those written exams are useless
@duanegran am I the only one who is optimistic about the use of AI in medicine?
@barubary @duanegran oh believe me I can find way worse sources 😂 https://www.thesun.co.uk/health/27510638/blood-test-bowel-stomach-pancreatic-cancer-ai/?utm_campaign=native_share&utm_source=sharebar_native&utm_medium=sharebar_native
Doesn't take away the fact that we're realizing some amazing medical advancements thanks to AI.
@duanegran
Also wear a good mask (N95/FFP2) = avoid contracting covid/bird flu/measels/or any other illnesses. Stay home when sick, have your family also mask up, test for covid, and fight for your rights for clean air everywhere.
Covid has caused millions of people to get Long Covid, post viral illnesses that range from cardiovascular issues to rarer ones like sudden baldness, blindness, deafness, and so, so much more.
Don't play health russian roulette. Current doctors don't care either.
