You are both as well?
@catfoxbirdperson @infobeautiful I have two big monitors side by side and then a smaller one used as a sensor panel (temps, flowrates, cpu/gpu usage, etc) next to them.
Big Big Lil
It has been a minute since my last update about my home office, and there have been quite a few additions and questions, not least since I started doing videos on LinkedIn in which I make coffee and ramble for a few minutes while it brews. I was quite jet-lagged for the first one, but it went down pretty well (the Algorithm is pleased with video right now), so I have kept at it. With all the questions, itβs high time for an update!
@infobeautiful So I'm neutral, sometimes lawfully so.
...but I really want to be chaotically evil because it makes more efficient use of the space in front with less sideways eyeballing than the allegedly good :P
@infobeautiful i remember seeing this before and asking where a monitor and a laptop would fall on this chart
what i didn't know is the answer was apparently in front of me the whole time
@infobeautiful
My work setup:
16:9 - laptop - 16:9
1080p - M3 Max MBP - 1080p
My gaming setup:
9:16 - 32:9 - 55:192
1920p - 1440p - 3840p
And this is why they say alignment tables don't work xP
Me at work = lawful neutral.
Do you realise that Terry Pratchett was closest to chaotic evil? He worked with six monitors in front of him :)
@infobeautiful I'm combining lawful evil with chaotic evil. π€π―
Don't tell anybody, but I've turned my monitor setup into a giant dong. It started as a joke but now I really like the layout
@infobeautiful perhaps inspired by @codinghorror 's post a few hours earlier? Or just a coincidence?
Attached: 2 images We outnumber them, so letβs do this together. π
I'm somewhere between chaotic neutral and chaotic evil.
@infobeautiful Hmmm... at work I am either chaotic good or chaotic evil (depends which room I'm in). At home I'm closest to lawful neutral.
Although given the space I'd be some flavor of chaotic evil at home too.
Guess I'm chaotic evil
@infobeautiful well, apparently this is my evolution:
Neutral good (2004) -- https://blog.codinghorror.com/multiple-monitors-and-productivity/
Lawful good (2010) -- https://blog.codinghorror.com/three-monitors-for-every-user/
Chaotic Good (2022) -- https://blog.codinghorror.com/the-road-not-taken-is-guaranteed-minimum-income/
proof: I wrote my last 5 blog posts with a mirrored Chaotic good setup (55" OLED TV in front, 27" OLED to left)
I found an interesting blog post about a small, informal multiple monitor productivity study. A number of developers, with some nudging from me, have gravitated to multiple monitor setups over the last year. Based on that experience, I wholeheartedly agree with the study survey results: * On average, people would much

@infobeautiful I have the combination of "true neutral" and "lawfull good".
