I have a simple design that breaks navigation.
Working on a mechanical enclosure.
Using my #3dconnexion mouse again for the first time in a long time.
#freecad feels like it always has... a bit too many error messages flying by on the screen.
But I'm so happy to be doing this!
#foss for the win!
I stopped by the ceramics studio this afternoon to see which of my things were fired over spring break. A notable example is this mug that i glazed with a glaze made entirely from ingredients i gathered myself. No store-bought ingredients here.
This is the third wood-ash glaze I've ever made, and the first that exhibits the trademark runny effect that these glazes are known for. The runs are akin to the "legs" you see when your swirl wine around in a wine glass. I'm happy with it. Very cool.
WIP Wednesday, 22 April 2026: async document recomputation, improved naavigation in the new CAM simulator, and many more changes.

New phase of the project... already looking at the CM5 dev-kit IO board in kicad. Hooray for open schematics and layouts!
Next steps:
But together order for enclosures, cables, power supplies, FPGA boards, CM5 modules, SSD's, etc.
Modify dev-kit schematic to remove unused HDMI, headers, ports, buttons, etc. and add the Alchitry Pt connectors, LED's switches, and RF connectors we need.
Model enclosure (in FreeCAD) to make sure the stack up fits inside.
Hey, I know I know some game-dev folks:
What (other than giveafucks) stops someone from marking their game as "proton compatible" on steam?
Like what is the technical limitation that makes some games suited for it and others not?
Assume all processors are intel x86 architectures for the sake of simplicity.
