Wow that was weird;

Got some plastic ethernet heads today and when I pushed the wires through them they came out the other end.

I guess I gotta get some toenail clippers or something...never had this happen in 20 years of making ethernet cables.

Seems like it might have been an innovation...cause now the blue sheth always fit inside, but if I want to plug it in, I'll need to clip the wires off.

@leean00 these are EZ-RJ45 connectors, there's a special crimper that cuts off the ends when you crimp

I've had good luck with them but other people seem to hate them

@dan Well I saw somewhere that if you don't have the special crimper, you can make up for it with a pair of snippy pliers.

My initial reaction was, "wow what a good idea!", but I didn't have the pliers (or the thought of the pliers) at the time.

Also, for the haters of EZ-RJ45, take another look, the blue connector really should fit inside not exposing the eight twisted pair wires.
