iveyline@emilymbender The problem with chatbots is that they have no intelligence and can only parrot back what they have learned by rote. They are often quite useless to interact with.
@emilymbender all missed the point. Chatbot can more easily coerced to follow orders, even if that would break laws. A human might still have a conscience.

@emilymbender I sincerely believe this rush towards uncapable ”AI” is not about efficiency or price, but elimination of human agency.
I would bet money on it, that we’re soon going to see industry psychopaths shilling out 5x or even 10x the price for machine learning systems that ”don’t talk back” at them, compared to the price of humans doing the same job better.
