However none of them should stand for POTUS if and when USA is allowed to have free and fair elections again
While all would make fine presidents, none have the vote getting appeal to Mr n Mrs Schmow from MiddleTvBurb.
To be POTUS you have to win elections by getting people to vote for you. Obama aside, none of them have that X factor.

Personally, i really don't give af what he has to say. He was the biggest disappointment in my life. I don't believe a word out of his mouth and haven't since the FISA vote. Though i still had high hopes he'd do the right thing in the oval.
But he's one of the very few people in an exclusive club, with immeasurable influence. Of course he should get involved. Not doing so kind of proves the point he wasn't in this for the American people

@augieray hard as it may be to accept, there is a political reasoning behind this: give him all the rope he wants to hang himself with. Enough for the rest of the movement, too.
Sanders and AOC aren't having any of it. Maybe they don't think a mainstream Dem win will change the world for the better enough. Maybe they don't believe in sacrificing the well-being of folks to win the war for everybody's future.
Both are valid strategies, I think. Blow me if I know which one'll work.

Read the book, not the synopsis, but the actual book. Learn how so much of what is happening today has been building. Learn how each president, while public enemies, have relied on each other.
@augieray It seems like one of the weaknesses of the US presidential system is that after the election there isn't a clear central figure for the losing party to organise itself around.
In the Westminster system the leader of the opposition is a position that is always occupied, whereas the democrats won't have a presidential candidate for most of the next four years. It seems bonkers to me that you have a system that leaves it that long.
