My choice of words depends on the company I wish to keep. Elbows up!
@aaron.rupar what I get from this: the US is concerned about threats over the pole and through the Northern Passage so the military is preparing to invade Greenland to protect the US should a threat develop. Whether or when it will ever vacate or instead colonialse Greenland for its natural resources and strategic miltary and economic location remains the question. Of course that "threat" could be deemed any time Greenland considers kicking out the US military bases already there.

Israel is increasingly isolated, as images of the starvation it is inflicting on Gaza flood global media.

A majority of Israelis thought Netanyahu cared more about retaining his grip on power than returning the captives.

Domestically, Netanyahu faces deep criticism of a war many believe he is only prolonging to stay in power.

Criticism of the government’s war on Gaza is mounting, with charges of genocide and war crimes coming from former Israeli prime ministers.

Is time running out for Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu?

Israel’s longest serving prime minister faces the difficult task of overcoming opposition both domestically and abroad.

Media, be clear.
Trump's militarization of peaceful protests isn't designed to stop violence. It's designed to incite violence.

Words matter. The Israeli military did not “intercept a ship and escort it to safety.” The Israeli military did commit a violent act of piracy against a UK flagged vessel in international waters as it fulfilled a legal right to reach Gaza and alleviate suffering, then abducted its crew and transported them by force to Israel under threat of execution.

Not a single corporate media outlet has had the courage or integrity to correctly label this horrific injustice. Legacy media has failed us all.

Errol Musk, the father of U.S. billionaire Elon Musk, has arrived in Moscow to attend the Forum of the Future 2050, a pro-Kremlin event scheduled for June 9-10.

Among the forum's panels are sessions titled "Russian Space: The Race for Mars" and "The Battle for Hearts and Minds: The Ideology of Sovereign Russia."

The soundtrack is inspired.

Comforting thought of the day: none of the software industry’s popular success metrics would catch a Boeing 737 Max style failure—catastrophic failure a year after delivery. So, you can literally murder scores of people with a software defect and still get that bonus at work for a successful project

That’s a less comforting thought if you’re a software user, admittedly

Prof G just said everything that has ever needed to be said about Elon Musk

Wow….

Think about it.

Who is used to a lifestyle where they get waited on hand and foot? Rich people.

So obviously rich people (and wannabe rich-adjacent people) are the ones pushing this false narrative that the general public is clamoring for “agents”.

We're not.

Honestly, I don't need Digital Jeeves 3000 to plan my kid's party, order my sandwich, check in on my dry cleaning, read my mail, text my friend, or *anything else* really.

What I need is more pay, healthcare, and better bike lanes. 🤨

@servelan Does being Liberal or supporting Democrats count as 'Hostile Attitudes Towards US Culture’ ? Are gun deaths part of US culture? Is it hostile to value socialism over capitalism? Is science US culture or anti-culture? Are Evangelicals US culture? How about Muslims? I have so many questions.
