@benroyce I see this mentality as the effect of being the global hegemon for so long. Many Americans see diplomacy as weak. They want leaders who will “make offers ‘they’ can refuse.” They want the tough guy president who “makes their own reality.” This will only change when reality slaps those Americans upside the head hard enough to knock some sense into them.

@lefthandmonki my fear is the chuds are trying to crash the stock market on purpose so plutocrats can buy everything up cheap. but yes, many Americans need to learn some simple obvious basics about economics and international relations, and they're trying really hard to learn it the hard way
