@benroyce It’s because so many of his acolytes are as right wing as he is. The right to bear arms is proof I feel. I know a bloke from Manchester who ran away to the States to avoid serving a prison sentence for theft. He ‘got god’ while there and actually boasts of his concealed weapon license. He’s a Trumpian. The odd thing is his wife isn’t and she’s born and bred US.

the right is emotional

and emotional thrall motivates like nothing else to get out the #vote

while boring, droning policy issues have no fire in the belly

so the left wilts, and the right swells

the ideal would be an emotional movement on the left

but, until then, you'd expect the left to be more fucking aware of the choice, and get the fuck out and vote

but many consider their toxic idealism as their privilege

no pragmatism nor strategy
