Video shows Tesla Cybertruck completely submerged underwater in Ventura Harbor

Video shows fire crews pulling out a Tesla Cybertruck that was completely submerged at the bottom of the Ventura Harbor.

Look! I've spotted a Nazi Submarine!!! #tesla #cybertruck
Apparently Cybertrucks are unable to be used to tow your jet ski or boat in or out of water. But, maybe we won't let any Cybertruck owners hear about that feature? 🤔 #tesla #submarine #teslasubmarine
@ai6yr Did you hear about the sibertruk owner that was a contractor who built a custom lumber rack for it and Tesla made him remove it because it wasn’t ‘approved’ or they would sue him?? Saw that last year….he was an immigrant as well….he has youtoob videos. I’ll have to find it….
@jberry Seriously? I thought when you purchase a vehicle, it's yours to do what you want!
@ai6yr I found the guys video of how and when he built the rack. It was 8 months ago. Guatemalan dude. It’s just in Spanish. That video doesn't talk about out the threats either. Thought the same thing!
@ai6yr I hope they had plenty of shamwows.
@ai6yr U-boat spotted, Captain!
@va3wft RELEASE DEPTH CHARGES! TURN RIGHT STARBOARD!

@ai6yr Apparently, Tesla is the company whose cars have the highest chance to kill you.

#swastikar

@ai6yr They should have just left it there.
@soulexpress Now now, we don't leave dumpsters full of trash in the ocean.

@Tattooed_Mummy Uhhhhhh... well, fail.

@ai6yr @Tattooed_Mummy

Turns out they sink faster than TSLA stock.

@ai6yr Someone didn’t read the fine print? It explicitly says “may be used AS a jetski”

It does not say “may be used to TOW a jetski” /s

#literacy

@ai6yr At least it didn't catch on fire.
@ai6yr "The fire battalion chief says someone was trying to launch a jet ski when the Cybertruck sank."
This summary skips over an in interesting chain of events, and I'm curious how it played out.
I've watched people launch boats and I don't think you're supposed to back that far in!
Probably what happened is they backed up just far enough to get the rear a bit wet and everything shorted out and failed, including brakes, and the whole thing just rolled down into the water.
@14mission I am curious to the failure as well, but I suspect you are correct -- that is a "drive by wire" car and if the control systems get fried, everything goes bad quickly. They're lucky they were able to get out of the car and not drown, IMHO.
@ai6yr Looks like at least one window was open (which is always a good idea when backing up with a trailer).
@ai6yr @14mission Salt water trailer light’s were potted in caulking to prevent shorting & killing car taillights > 60 years ago.
@ai6yr I don't get it. Why would they try and fish it out?
