@MiriShuli @GottaLaff It's the same way private equity bleeds all the value from companies they buy. You sell the building and then lease it back from whoever you sold it to (usually another entity you control). So they extract the value of the building and continue to extract tax dollars as rent.

@GottaLaff I continue to think that a big part of the end game is to render large parts of the government totally dysfunctional. Then squawk loudly about how bad things are and start wholesale privatization. The oligarchs can just parcel out whenever chunks they want and loot the citizenry. It fits the Trump pattern of creating a problem, then declaring he is the only one who can fix it.
