Resident PHP & Jacascript iconoclast. I still think PSR is the worst, even now that I'm on Mastodon. You might remember me from Dallas PHP and Lone Star PHP. Proud to be final-free.

since i just turned it on, apple will probably remove it soon, but, they "finally" added a never go to sleep option to the ipad, so now its actually useful for things without having keep waking it up and refreshing the browser that breaks when it goes to sleep. it wasn't there when i got this.

naturally, unlike a real os, they don't let you choose different depending on battery or ac.

kind of stupid but i think i am going to build a cli tool that does nothing but provide a wrapper for other cli tools. the reasoning is, specially in python, everything is ultra inconsistent. half is --snake_case rest is --kabob-case, then a scattering of space vs =. super infuriating. often a 0.0.x update changes everything.

so a thing with a definition wrapper.

thing.phar app --options-i-like=forever

done it before. tort was a wrap for tortoisetts. that was my wake up to python's suck.

me two hours from now probably: twice

how is this still happening
this week google has doing a thing where it uses bright theme the first time i search anything. then every search after that in that tab is dark. it would be funny if i could actually read bright things anymore.
after trying to get a normal recaptcha working on a new site i can see why the more cancerous hcaptcha is being used with increasing frequency lately. but didn't get pissed off enough to force my users to suffer that.

microsoft is being weird today. first the "sign in" wasn't even a hyperlink. then i clicked refresh.

[update] got a message about high demand that refreshed before i could screen shot it.

just had the most pleasant experience chatting with some random guy about how we cook zucchini while picking some up at fiesta mart. did not have that on my 2025 bingo card.
