@woozle @QasimRashid To me the best analogy for the Democrats is the Washington Generals, the "exhibition" basketball team that plays against the Harlem Globetrotters. A Globetrotters show is a type of entertainment that uses the forms and structures of basketball but which is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a basketball game. The Generals are part of those "forms and structures". Nobody expects the Generals to win, but they need to be there in order for the show to work.

Why is no one calling the Capitol Police and having Musk, his DOGE-bags, and any private security they might have brought with them arrested for trespassing, breaking & entering, assault, whatever statutes the security violations fall under?
That scrawny private security dude from the other day, blocking access to a department building, have the Capitol Police show up, tell him to vacate, and cuff him if he doesn't.
Don't need the executive branch for that.

@QasimRashid Innuendo studios has a video called "The Alt-Right Playbook: You Go High, We Go Low", it discusses exactly this pattern of democrats acting like politics is a boardgame and the rules of the game will ensure a legitimate outcome.
so they end up clinging to "decorum" and "reaching across the isle" while the republicans just go on breaking the rules of the game.

@QasimRashid @RebelGeek99 I'm not entirely sure what you mean with "once or twice" but i entirely agree that the dems (and (neo)liberal electoral politics more broadly) are a false facade of progress and that we ( i believe strongly that this should be an international shift) need to move past them to make any real changes that can't just be overturned as we are seeing now.

the role of the dems and political parties like them is to maintain the status quo while the right keeps shifting it.

They've given up fighting and now just whine or recycle old failed ideas. They need to oust everyone over 65 and bring in younger generation leadership and committee leaders.
