Gilbert Pilz@woozle @QasimRashid To me the best analogy for the Democrats is the Washington Generals, the "exhibition" basketball team that plays against the Harlem Globetrotters. A Globetrotters show is a type of entertainment that uses the forms and structures of basketball but which is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a basketball game. The Generals are part of those "forms and structures". Nobody expects the Generals to win, but they need to be there in order for the show to work.
