@GottaLaff Yeah just checked it again, it still exists. You basically put a link to your profile onto a website that you control, and put the URL of that website onto one of the extra fields in your profile (see mine, called 'Verify' in this case).
If the website you linked has the profile link in it, the verification is valid.

FallsMom 🌻I don't know the nuts and bolts, but I'm on another instance moderated by @stux who administers mstdn.social and he does pretty well filtering out such.

If I used Mastodon more, I might consider trying to migrate to mstdn.social myself. Maybe I will, with the way things are going. I never bothered with Bluesky. Glad to know @stux is a potential help for you! 🙂
