A Mississippi police officer shot and killed Kohen Wiley, a 1-year-old child, while responding to a shoplifting call at the Senatobia Walmart.

Family members told WREG that he was sitting in his mother's lap in the passenger seat of a car when the officer shot him.

Posts that begin "today we said goodbye to our dog" on the internet are seldom a good time, but this one at least has a happy ending.

Today we said goodbye to our foster dog, Kath, as she begins her new job as a working guide dog.

It's hard to imagine a better dog as our first foster. Kath was smart, affectionate, well-trained, everything you want in a dog!

Never did figure out what game she wanted to play with her favourite green ball though, hopefully her new humans will!

Please tell me you're at least using the funds you think this will save you to hire more staff for handling child abuse cases and improving care conditions if the parents are so abusive as to be unfit parents now that those children don't have an escape from it.

I think Crosby is one the greatest visual artists working anywhere in the world right now & its great to see this being recognised by such a prestigious commission....
