#Google has so far completely ignored the #DMA's easy-switching requirements. It’s still more than 15 steps to change the default #searchengine on #Android devices, and search websites can't guide users to the setting in #Chrome.

On the choice screen obligation (art. 6(3)): Google also hasn’t rolled out updated Android choice screens to 250+ million #EU users according to competitor #Duckduckgo, who has lodged a complaint against the #gatekeeper in 2024.

@ilumium simply stop using Google Chrome and use another browser like Brave. Very easy to change the default search.
@ilumium Is there somewhere where I can learn those 15+ steps? I currently just go to firefox and use duckduckgo there - I didn't know it was even possible to change my andriod's default search engine.
