My browser extension StopTheMadness Pro stops autoplaying videos and hides Sign in with Google on all sites. It also hides sticky videos and notification requests on many sites.
For more extreme measures, try my Safari extension StopTheScript. It kills JavaScript dead on websites you select. For example, from the blog post, it makes The Guardian readable.

Trump's unauthorized, unprovoked war in Iran has cost the lives of US service members and thousands of civilians in Iran and across the Middle East. And now, Trump is threatening a ground invasion and attacks on civilian infrastructure (which is a war crime). The American public firmly opposes this unjust war. On top of harming and endangering people abroad, the cost of living continues to soar at home to pay for this violence. The administration is expected to request $200 billion in increased funding for this chaos and some in the GOP are even calling for cuts to our healthcare (again) to pay for it. We call on Members of Congress to respond to this crisis and: Block any funding for this war. Not one dime. Use War Powers Resolutions to force votes to end this war. Hold Trump Administration officials accountable for their crimes and corruption.
