Class warfare is when there’s a limit to what poor & disabled people can earn before losing their benefits, but no limit to what billionaires can hoard while avoiding taxes.

We must reject the twisted idea that money incentivizes the rich but poverty incentivizes the poor.

@QasimRashid Simple fact is, money has now bought our government, all three branches of it. #Musk is case in point.
@Leefellerguy @QasimRashid it's happened before. It can be bought back, mostly by voting. #Oversight remains important, and we must increase #Transparency.

@QasimRashid

I say we just get rid of billionaires. 😁✌🏻

@QasimRashid if there wasn't a means test rich people would hoard the benefits too
Clearly not getting it

@joe @QasimRashid Blocking rich people from getting the same amount of money per person as poor people is counterproductive, and is generally more expensive than just handing out the money. The amount of money that is a lot to a poor person is not a lot for a rich person, and there are few rich people.

The hassle of applying for money is a burden on poor people, though, and therefore a punishment for being poor, a punishment that is bigger the more complicated you make it.

@joe @QasimRashid A fixed benefit is more beneficial to poor people, in the same way that a fixed fee is more beneficial to a rich person, what we call regressive tax.

@ahltorp @joe @QasimRashid Completely agree. It costs more to administer means testing (allegedly to dissuade & screen out “undeserving” applicants but really just punitive to those who need help) than to make an aid benefit universal.

On the flip side, in the #US capping how much income is taxed to fund #SocialSecurity benefits (for example) is also f-ed up and creates an illusion of scarcity.

@ahltorp @joe @QasimRashid And this is why all benefits should be universal. It is cheaper and more efficient to tax it back from the rich than to ration it to the poor.

#UniversalBasicIncome

@ahltorp @joe @QasimRashid that is really neatly expressed.

@QasimRashid This is spot on 📌 :

"We must reject the twisted idea that money incentivizes the rich but poverty incentivizes the poor"

@QasimRashid

Money does incentivize the rich, to hoard, corrupt, oppress and steal.

It is class warfare, us against the 1%. Stunning to see Americans cowed so easily.

@QasimRashid Notice they only call it "class warfare" when we fight back?
