Turning Point USA's history of racism and white nationalist ties

Charlie Kirk’s youth-focused right-wing organization Turning Point USA has become increasingly radicalized over the last decade, frequently leaning in to Christian fundamentalist rhetoric and lies about the 2020 election. On campuses across the country, TPUSA chapters and members have embroiled themselves in controversy over racist stunts and bigoted remarks of their own, while demonstrating increasing ties with the white supremacist “groyper” movement associated with Holocaust denying Gen-Z streamer Nick Fuentes. Kirk has repeatedly denied that racism exists within his organization, while continuously spouting virulently racist and bigoted remarks daily on his show, The Charlie Kirk Show.

The Groypers are in the news because some speculate the #charliekirkshooter was a member since the group had #groyperwars with Kirk's #tpusa . All the Right on Right violence is very sad to watch but a few #assassinations from #GunViolence are the cost of protecting the Second Amendment, right Republicans? 😭

Nick Fuentes is a white nationalist livestreamer who advocates pulling the Republican Party further to the extreme far-right end of the political spectrum. An outspoken admirer of fascists such as Mussolini, Fuentes emerged as an influential figure on the national stage during the now-infamous “Stop the Steal” movement, which relied on misinformation to falsely claim that Donald Trump had won the 2020 election and sought to overturn the results of it. Some Republican lawmakers have collaborated with his America First Foundation, which hosts an annual America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC) alongside the more mainstream Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), which it seeks to supplant.
