With a two-party system, the electoral college system, the lobbying on the Hill, the financial interests involved, and the changes made during the Reagan administration, the US political system has been in a sorry state already. But the current developments might even be the death blow to it all. However, my optimistic nature would not understand that the people, the voter, in the end would take all of this.
