#FollowerPower: Does anyone have the dimensions for the #packaging of #Windows7 & #WindowsVista?

  • I could propably "guesstimate" them based off the DVD-ROM inside but I'd ratzer have the correct dimensions just to be shure...

Attached: 1 image @[email protected] Don't have the Windows box, only an Office one, but it should be the same size. Also, no caliper, only a ruler, but maybe that's enough? Width is 13.6 cm, height is 19 cm, depth is 3.8 cm. Do you need more?

@kkarhan Hm, that top right corner has a radius of 3.5 cm and that lower one... 🤔 is about 3.4 cm, but it's about .4 cm offset from the back.
How about this, I just throw the thing on my scanner and scan the back and bottom sides? You already have the basic measurements for scale, so that should work for extrapolating the rest. 😅

@kkarhan OK... this is just a little terrible. My scanner needs calibration and it seems... the box isn't straight at all?! 🤔 But it's the best I can do. 🤷‍♂️
The text on the bottom side and the scale on the ruler are blurry because flatbed scanners being near-sighted of course.
Also, please be so kind and ignore any greasy fingerprints. 😅

@bwana I consider doing something like a #NUC #PCcase...

Also I'd not want to ruin an expensive collectors piece just to dremel around and find out.

It'll also help me designing the #NUCbook and I was considering to basically just scale up the two long sides for that, embracing the #FrutigerAero #aesthetics if the form factor!
