Time-lapse process for Day 11: Wander. This one came effortlessly, really. Knew exactly what I wanted to create and how I was going to draw it. 🖖 #Inktober #StarTrek #LineaSketch

Struggled with the expression but I think I got it in the end! 🌶️🔥🥵

The first 12 days of #Inktober. Hard to pick a favorite but it may be Day 2: Spiders or Day 9: Bounce. Onward we go! #LineaSketch

Yes, you can indeed create pixel art in #LineaSketch. Clearly I need to make a new video tutorial since everyone was surprised stuff like this is possible in Linea. 🤓 #Inktober #PixelArt

The brilliant Spy vs Spy strip by Cuban artist Antonio Prohías, was one of the reasons I adored Mad Magazine as a kid. Hope I did it justice! 🤓

Day 15: Dagger 🗡️💣

#Inktober #HumanArt #LineaSketch

Time-lapse process for Day 15: Dagger

It’s funny you can see just how much trouble I had sketching the Black Spy’s back hand / arm. The whole thing also didn’t feel right using smooth semi-circles for arms and legs. Then I put in bent angles and it started to feel right.

About 4 hours total for this one. 🫣

Time-lapse process for Day 19: Plump.

A few things about this one:
- Really wasn’t jazzed to do it originally
- Hated it almost all the way up to the end
- Feel it came out kinda neat
- Crosshatching detail totally saved it
- Remind me not to do this style of drawing again if I’m not getting paid to do it 😜

#Inktober #HumanArt #LineaSketch

Managed to keep it to under an hour. Somehow. No sketching, just drawing. Totally outside my comfort zone but it turned out kind of neat. ❄️

Day 21: Chains

The color palette and the grooves on the record made this one pretty fun to draw. 🎶🎵🤓

Sometimes the biggest decision for each Inktober drawing is how to color/style it. I considered going all out color-wise for this one but scales that back to just a few colors and I think it turned out much better for it.

I made this one a lot harder than it had to be but it was still quite fun. #Inktober #LineaSketch

The next twelve days of #Inktober. This time around I have a clear favorite - Day 15: Dagger. Pixel pushing Day 14: Castle was also very fun. Only a few days left! #LineaSketch

Kudos to you if you get this one. Also, congrats! We’re both old. 🫠

Getting a (small) leg up on this year’s #Inktober. Got the first three days sketched and the first one inked. Toying with the idea of brainstorming and sketching them ALL first then inking them as I go. That probably won’t pan out but it’s fun to dream.

3… 2… 1… BLAST OFF! Time once again to push myself creatively during Inktober. Hopefully I’ll make it through the entire month. I can’t wait to see what you all create. This is going to be fun!

Day 2: Discover #Inktober #HumanArt #MastoArt #LineaSketch

Time-lapse process for Day 2: Discover.

I took my time coloring this one and I think it paid off. Love how the loot turned out in particular. 💎 #Inktober #HumanArt #MastoArt #LineaSketch

@gedeonm This one was like a never-ending story. Every one or two seconds, I thought your coloring was finished, then you add even more detail!
@leebennett Hehe. Yeah my first mistake was going back and replacing the black strokes with colored strokes then I had to keep going and going… Glad you enjoyed though!
@gedeonm Not that I even remotely sketch with the same skill, but I'm curious. On paper, I know the advantage of pencil sketching then inking it in later. In Linea, is it just visual/muscle memory? Since everything is editable, why not ink the lines from the start?
@leebennett I constantly move stuff in the pencil sketch until I get them where I want them. Some artists just go right to inking and more power to them. I just cannot do it. The tighter my sketch the easier it is for me when I go to render it. I suppose it need to lighten up some day eventually and just freewheel it but I’ve never learned that bit.

@gedeonm Sounds like it is indeed kind of a visual/muscle memory from ink and paper drawings. Absolutely nothing against it. Just an imponderable I had. :-)

Now to get my art for today finished.
