@Viss i mean epistemology one has to draw a line somewhere
@Viss people are so used to this. I have friends who get upset with me when I say, "I'm not informed on this subject." They say, "We're just talking! You can tell me what you think..." but I'd rather not because anything I say will likely be wildly ignorant.
@Viss wish my mother would do this and she has a phd so she should know better.

@Viss TWW: What you may know of and what you may learn are not the same. In this vast moment any amount of knowledge is only a tiny portion. *In a theoretical sense the writing on the wall may be true but in a practical sense at discussions of how a project should face a situation and proceed I needed opinions and ideas from people who may be talking way outside their craft because sometimes those people saw things in a way I hadn’t thought of and show a new path forward. Normalize not having an opinion on things you aren’t properly informed on.

@Viss I personally refuse to vouch for/against something if I have insufficient data and I do cite that as reason...

@Viss Not really. The only opinion you should have is

Maybe I should get more information.

@Viss and also, by shutting your mouth and listening, you might actually learn something!
