Jan EkholmI got a need to 3D print a small thing to help me doing some crafty stuff. I updated my FreeCAD to the latest and started it (been a while since I last used it). but it seems to be a bit buggy? The "Tasks" view is always a solid empty box with nothing in it. I can't seem to have any way to create a body or a sketch? Same when opening an old drawing, there are no tasks. Doesn't seem right? This on macOS, so it's also buggy af.
Hah, yeah, that was it. It's been too long since I last used FreeCAD that I've forgotten the fundamentals.
But someone should really take a look at the usability of the UI, this is incredibly hard to read.
Yakari Van Dessel@chakie I’ve never used or seen FreeCAD before. Out of curiosity, does the screen you shared, change colors if you put your system in dark mode (if you haven’t already)? Anyway, the UI of this screen is horrible indeed.
@yakarivd I always use dark mode. Toggling to light mode does not change anything. It's just a case where the developers work on another OS where the default label/background colors work ok and don't know they have to explicitly set them to something sane.
@chakie Interesting. I also think this was done without intent. At least, I hope so anyway.
