@ilumium For any #eu citizen I can recommend to sign the official petition to the European Commission to get rid of some rich businessmen: https://www.tax-the-rich.eu #taxtherich #europeanunion
Tax The Rich

Nous voulons un impôt européen sur les grandes fortunes pour financer la transition climatique et sociale et aider les pays victimes des dérèglements climatiques.

@phneutral @ilumium For Italian speakers/readers there is even a version in Italian to read for the same purpose : https://tax-the-rich.it/ #taxtherich #italy #italia
TAX THE RICH - Iniziativa dei cittadini europei

Chiedi di introdurre un’imposta europea sui grandi patrimoni per contrastare le crescenti disuguaglianze e i cambiamenti climatici.

@phneutral @ilumium Whoa, great, fellow EU citizen here, signing it up! We need more of this!

@ilumium

Funny, that’s about the amount of money we need to address the #ClimateCrisis globally.

Looks like the timing could not have been better for that metal Les Mis part of the #OpeningCeremony.

Good job #Paris2024 reminding them that there are worse fates than the big boogieman they see in the taxman. #TaxTheRich

@ilumium MAJOR reclamation project is due!
@ilumium Any wonder why the treasonous gop suck up to the rich? Bastards ALL.

We all know there are plenty of strategies to address inequality. All that's needed is political will to enact them. For example.
End franking credits
End negative gearing
Wealth tax
Inheritance tax
Income tax
Living wage
Free education of good quality
Free child care of good quality
Free aged care of good quality

The flat rate ten percent goods ans services tax was introduced without much fanfare. The tampon tax.

Why not a flat rate on Australian wealth?
Say four percent of all your accumulated assets. Too much tax will remove incentive. Too little tax amounts to unchecked inequality. There is a rational medium.

I propose a citizens lobby on the issue of economic equality.
