@sashin @QasimRashid PA governor Josh Shapiro. Scheduling the event in Philadelphia is leading folks to think it’s the PA guy. I really hope not. He is not at all what the Democratic base wants or what the country needs.

@fixiemama @QasimRashid Walz is not only the only remotely progressive name under discussion, he’s earned it with the way he’s shown his campaign skills since Harris became the candidate. He could connect with a lot more people than Shapiro and bring better policies.

@PedestrianError Yup. I’m a huge fan of Buttigieg and the others but Walz is not a coastal elite (PA counts as coastal in my view). He’s the one who is a straight up regular ole white guy. Coaches football, is a good shot, can change his own oil, etc. IDK I really like Sen. Kelly too. But if it can’t be Gov. Whitmer then Gov. Walz would be my pick, like you said, so many will feel an affinity for him.
