VP Harris to announce her running mate Tuesday in Philly. It would not help her statement that she empathizes with Palestinians & those who care about the suffering of Palestinians if her running mate is a guy who compares anti-genocide protestors to KKK.

That would be really bad. Like, really bad.

@QasimRashid Ugh. I guess I’m glad for the advanced warning so I can prepare myself… But a Zionist as her VP would really take the wind out of my enthusiasm sails. And I am so enthusiastic right now!! But I want to see her pick Tim Walz!!! <blergh>

@fixiemama @QasimRashid Walz is not only the only remotely progressive name under discussion, he’s earned it with the way he’s shown his campaign skills since Harris became the candidate. He could connect with a lot more people than Shapiro and bring better policies.

@PedestrianError Yup. I’m a huge fan of Buttigieg and the others but Walz is not a coastal elite (PA counts as coastal in my view). He’s the one who is a straight up regular ole white guy. Coaches football, is a good shot, can change his own oil, etc. IDK I really like Sen. Kelly too. But if it can’t be Gov. Whitmer then Gov. Walz would be my pick, like you said, so many will feel an affinity for him.
