Firefox is still better than any Chromium browser simply by virtue of Gecko being the only alternative layout engine that's seeing any widespread adoption.  If everyone moves to Chromium browsers, then Google will have de facto control over web standards and the W3C will pretty much just be a puppet org. When Servo and Lady Bird (if the project figures out their culture issues) see feature parity with modern browsers, we can talk then.

Additionally, with the death of Manfiest V2 extensions, Google is signaling how much control they're willing to exert over the Chromium project. If your Chromium browser of choice is claiming it'll continue to support Manifest V2, I'd wait until the Manifest V2 code is actually yanked out of the Chromium Project, since that'll be the true test of whether or not it's really possible to maintain support. There's a reason most Chromium browsers are just switching to their own adblockers instead.

@Rusty A built-in blocker is still better than having to use a V3 one, I'll give Brave that.
@odo Yeah, although I don't think I could ever use Brave after they were caught injecting their own affiliate links. Also the whole Chromium being Google thing.
@Rusty There's always WebKit
