I am not a particularly peaceful person but I do like to conserve my energy, which is why I don’t bother to personally hate most criminals—I tend to think they’re policy failures.
But this guy? The guy that ransomwared the Seattle Public Library and apparently has individually stolen employee personal data? Fuck this guy. I _hate_ this guy. I would expend unnecessary energy to ensure he has a bad day.
@tinker @Tarah a library is a target of a different kind; it's an attack on the ideology of promoting growth from the bottom up, to grow the people, and not keep them down where "they" think they belong.
Like those that attack medical facilities, but even worse because there's no monetary product to steal.

Same, there are a lot of who would be considered criminals I'd not waste my energy on.
But taking advantage of non-profits, libraries, hospitals, the elderly or kids? Go fuck yourself is what I say to them.
There is a certain point where you are just scum in my book.
That energy expenditure wouldn't be unnecessary.
It could be considered a moral imperative, along with those who ransomware hospitals 🤨🖖
One expression for this level of hate is "If I had a glass of water, and you were on fire, I'd drink it."
