The biggest 'finally' of the WWDC keynote was macOS picking up Windows-style window snapping
@stroughtonsmith AGREED! I have two 32 in 4K displays on my Mac. Use a 3rd party app to do this now but will be nice to have in the OS

@stroughtonsmith What got me: someone at Apple thought it a good idea to leave gaps between the windows. That would annoy the piss out of me as a user.

*hugs Moom*

@craiggrannell @stroughtonsmith The size of the gap is up for discussion, but having *no* gap between windows drives me nuts. Sonoma's gaps are small but adequate.
@craiggrannell @stroughtonsmith I’m not going to use this feature, but I am a strong proponent of margins between windows for aesthetic reasons. The margins should be adjustable, ideally. Anyway, it’s a pleasant surprise that margins are both possible and optional. Settings! Imagine that.

@siracusa @stroughtonsmith Yeah. I was genuinely surprised a setting exists. How very un-Apple! Personally, I want no margins, because I find being able to see through windows a distraction. So all my Moom set-up is very rigid in that regard.

I’m glad everyone gets what they want. Well, bar anyone who wants a different margin size, but that’s probably too much to ask for.

@stroughtonsmith, do you like the windows padding? There's so much wasted space around.
@stroughtonsmith reminders in calendar is what did it for me, finally
@stroughtonsmith it would be impressive if it fixed the macOS bug where it gathers all my windows on one screen every time I wake from sleep.

@stroughtonsmith Hate it. Hate it. Hate it.

Hopefully there'll be a toggle.

@stroughtonsmith

Please no. It is the first thing I turn off when I have to use a windows computer.

@stroughtonsmith I'm still yet to check if we can close windows from Mission Control!
@stroughtonsmith Of the dozen or so apps that got Sherlock’s today, this was the most inevitable.
@stroughtonsmith It was scheduling iMessages for me
