Shit.
@caseyliss they will take Callsheet from my cold dead hands Casey
@caseyliss Was confused as to what this were referring to, then my stream got to InSight
 I’m sorry! 😰

@caseyliss finally caught up the stream to know what you talking about 😬

#InSight

@caseyliss at least it's apple tv shows?
@caseyliss It's okay, only for Apple TV+, and your shit's way better anyway
@jakebathman @caseyliss “your shit...” is interesting praise
@caseyliss My stream is just behind you. I'm assuming you're commenting about a certain slang term relating to a British detective?
@caseyliss Really more like Amazon's X-Ray feature than the Callsheet app?
@caseyliss did you just get sherlocked? #ohno
@caseyliss I sprinted to mastodon to see your reaction... And yep :)
@caseyliss "for Apple TV content
" – I think you're fine for the foreseeable, ATV+ isn't even close to the majority of the content I watch, I suspect many others are in the same boat
 đŸ€žđŸŒ

@caseyliss nooooo

But only for Apple TV+ shows, right?

@caseyliss Sherlock comes for us all. 😔

@caseyliss beg for proper APIs! There’s so much you could do if you had access to this.

Callsheet will still be super useful of course 😃

@caseyliss I guess now you know why you got the press pass to WWDC?
@caseyliss lol, was waiting for that. You’re fine though of course!
@caseyliss Amazon Prime already has X-Ray that basically does the same thing. You’ll be fine! Callsheet offers way more than InSight does
@caseyliss only for “Apple Originals”?
@caseyliss Wait. Did the recap slide say “InSight for Apple TV+ Originals?”
@caseyliss don’t worry. With all time I spend in Callsheet, my wife would never allow me to move that to the TV screen.
@caseyliss Going to be right there with you, buddy.
@caseyliss You should be honored! Not everyone gets sherlocked :P
@caseyliss Just a copy of Amazon’s feature, not a Sherlock
@caseyliss for half a second I thought it might be an API. Sorry
@caseyliss I'd much rather use CallSheet to answer my own curiosity, than pull it up on the screen and annoy everyone else watching with me.

@caseyliss OH. uh. Condolences.

I don't know that it completely sherlocks you though

@caseyliss at least, lots of good company
@caseyliss I think you’re fine. I can’t have that stuff on screen when watching with others. It’s in prime and I never use it since Callsheet.
@caseyliss Thought about you when they introduced Insight - think you’ll be just fine given how limited it likely is, nice convenience feature for casual users though
@caseyliss it doesn’t seem like it’d affect you too much? It’s only in Apple Originals, so your advantage is clearly in being a universal experience across apps.
@caseyliss It's only for Apple TV+ shows for now. Basically Amazon Prime Video's X-Ray feature. You're fine. I'll probably still use CallSheet since it's better and lets me click around to "Where else have I seen this person?" which isn't something useful WHILE watching a show even with this feature.
@caseyliss At least it got mentioned in the keynote! đŸ€Ą
@lonzo @caseyliss was in the grid of visionOS app icons too! (6:52 in the YT version)
@caseyliss I believe they said it only applies to Apple TV+ content. So I will still need Callsheet for all of that Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc. content.
@caseyliss It’s not going to make me drop my subscription to Callsheet.
@caseyliss To be fair
 they specifically said it works with “Apple produced shows” so, not a lot.
@caseyliss Callsheet is still my app of choice. It’s not all about in the moment lookups, but happens in conversations around the table, etc. Also, add show tracking and you’ve got another differentiator. Callsheet is not coming off my devices!
@caseyliss My most common use case is “where else do I know them from” and “how old were they here” in Callsheet.
Apple X-ray (can’t remember the ïŁż brand name) offers neither of those as easily.
You’re good.
@caseyliss just a small part of what Callsheet offers for a small fraction of your possible user base
Only Apple TV
Only the cast list - not their filmography
Only when you’re watching
Sorry - no Sherlocking
@caseyliss Thanks to the limited scope, I think the Soulver developer got Sherlocked harder by Math Notes. But I guess it’s never easy when you’re the one at the receiving end.
@caseyliss kind of sucks but the biggest thing I use Callsheet for is while I’m not watching something or when I want to know where I’ve seen an actor before after going to the movie theaters so Callsheet will always have a place for me. Also I presume this only works in Apple TV+ or at most Apple TV apps that support the native player which there’s a handful that don’t.
@caseyliss seems like this WWDC was full of Sherlocks
