THE BIG TAKE: As Apple turns 50, the wheels of succession are in motion. John Ternus is the company's "nice guy" CEO heir apparent. The most in-depth look at Ternus, his growing empire and Apple’s Tim Cook succession plans to date. https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2026-apple-next-ceo/?accessToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJzb3VyY2UiOiJTdWJzY3JpYmVyR2lmdGVkQXJ0aWNsZSIsImlhdCI6MTc3NDIxMzI4NywiZXhwIjoxNzc0ODE4MDg3LCJhcnRpY2xlSWQiOiJUQ0JKUDZLR1pBSVowMCIsImJjb25uZWN0SWQiOiJDNEVEQ0FFMUZBMDU0MEJFQTI0QTlGMjExQzFFOTA4MCJ9.wCKYEdSFWp79aRqtwPlm2qXCmdEMlgK6L8WTZNtRoqg
Project Hail Mary might be my favorite movie of the last 10+ years. A beautiful story, and an equally beautiful movie. See it on the biggest screen you can!

...I'm not insane in thinking that DLSS 5 looks *significantly* worse, right? Like as a piece of intentional art? @tomwarren.co.uk https://fed.brid.gy/r/https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:fbtvg6jxtdroidfvq5z635xu/post/3mh75wodg7s2e
Tom Warren (@tomwarren.co.uk)

Nvidia just announced DLSS 5, calling it the “most significant breakthrough in computer graphics” since the introduction of real-time ray tracing in 2018. DLSS 5 uses “real-time neural rendering” and is coming to RTX 50 series GPUs later this year https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/dlss5-breakthrough-in-visual-fidelity-for-games/

Went for a walk. Saw some ducks. Took a selfie. Not a bad day!
The book is absolutely gorgeous, for what it’s worth - so glad I didn’t go with the eBook version!

My copy of “Apple: The First 50 Years” by David Pogue got delivered by my local bookstore today, a little early)! Can’t wait to dig into this. #apple
If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.
