#Microsoft sent an email to everyone saying they're listening to people now and they will definitely not pushing AI to everything anymore.

Also Microsoft enabled #github to collect all your "inputs, outputs and associated context to train and improve AI models". This new tickbox is enabled by default, even if you explicitly disabled Copilot before.

Actions speak louder than words.

You can disable the option at https://github.com/settings/copilot/features

Corporate IT sometimes set policies without thinking about impact. As a totally-random example, enforcing the latest operating system update on day one. There might be vital software for people’s jobs that isn’t compatible yet, or there could be catastrophic bugs. Maybe wait a day or two, or give users a grace period. Perhaps, and I know this is a crazy idea, you could allow users to install the update outside of working hours instead of FORCING A REBOOT DURING AN ALL-HANDS MEETING.
You’ll never guess what happened today…
Err… ok? Any guesses what this actually means?! #excel
@caseyliss I followed along with your “enthusiastic” bug report for Apple Watch workout goal setting, and mine does the sensible thing of actually setting the time when I press the massive button. I expected the back chevron to just go back without setting the time (else why have two UI elements), but both set the time.
Totally understand your frustration, perhaps it’s been fixed super-recently, or it’s another inscrutable bug on an Apple platform?
Ship now heading to Southampton with chicken on board, next voyage is back to New York with the sack of grain.
In macOS Tahoe, Apple have made the genius move of keyboard shortcuts in the Music app that not only conflict with long-existing system ones, but take priority.
In any text field, ⌘◀ moves the caret to the start of the line, and ⌘▶ moves to the end. Trying to do either of those in the god damn search bar in Music will instead go to the start or end of the playing track! I imagine this is going to repeatedly infuriate me as I inadvertently skip or restart songs.

From "your OS must enable you to declare your age" to "developers must attempt to verify your age" to "you must declare your age" to "you must prove your age" to "you must verify your identity to go online" in how long?
Worth noting that if you paste text with formatting into Slack, it'll ask if you want to format it, and teach you how to format it (or not), giving you flexibility.
