@ai6yr I've had a #pihole on the entire house for four years now and it's rare that I get a complaint. Have four separate VLANs and several Pihole groups to keep things nice and segregated. Small kids and guests get a highly filtered experience.

I'm also running a #Ubiquiti #Unifi Dream Machine Pro so I've got traffic rules in place and flat out block some applications and several countries entirely.

@jeremyllawson Ooh, nice on the Unifi. I need to definitely segment a bunch of the stuff on my network (one way or another!)

@ai6yr I went a little overkill for sure on the home network, there's a network rack with the Dream Machine, switch, server for #PiHole, #Jellyfin, #HomeAssistant, and #Unbond for a recursive DNS resolver.

I've got the Unifi doorbell and a trio of access points covering most of the property. Multiple Ethernet drops in all the rooms, etc.

My mother retired and she wanted a smart house so it's a smart house. Hence the need to segregate all the traffic. IoT devices tend to be chatty 😂
