Wholesome blogs minus the yucky bits of the modern web

@xenodium @ctietze Wie cool ist das denn!!! Sieht nach einem Ding aus, nachdem ich lange gesucht habe. Das werde ich später mal ausprobieren. 😍
@phranck @ctietze Nice to hear it! You can try without signing in, though lemme know if you’d like an invite if you’re keen to register a blog handle.

@xenodium @ctietze Btw: What does "lmno" stand for in this context?

[1] Leave My Name Out
[2] Leave My Name Off
[3] Laughing My Nuts Off
[4] Something else

🤔

@phranck @ctietze https://lmno.lol/lmno/frequently-asked-questions#why-name-it-lmno.lol%3F but frankly, it's hard to get great domains that aren't crazy expensive! I have others registered. I intend to enable multiple entry points so folks can pick whichever flavour they prefer.

ps. If you have a great domain you're willing to part with, I'm listening ;)

Frequently asked questions

@xenodium @ctietze I just have registered my account and have written nothing, atm.

BUT: I bet I will like this service. Not only because it offers plain Markdown, but also because of its simplicity. And I think you should add a monetisation option when the time comes. Either on a donation basis or some kind of subscription. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it gives you the opportunity to at least cover the costs.

@phranck @ctietze glad to hear ya reckon you’ll like it.

Agree. Effort should be self sustainable in order to remain truth to its goal. For now, I need early feedback for those ok to find the rough edges.

@xenodium @ctietze Ooh... I'm just reading this now: „This blog is powered by a single markdown file, including all its posts.“

Hm… I thought it would make one blog post per Markdown file. 🤔

@phranck @ctietze Multi-file is on the backlog.

Give single-file a try. I can say there’s something fairly refreshing and simple about powering a blog from a single file.

With a great editor, it’s a breeze to navigate but also more portable (btw https://lmno.lol/alvaro is roughly 10 years worth of posts).

This is my blog

@xenodium @ctietze Just out of curiosity: What is the "backend" programmed with?
