The bribed Supreme Court is ruling on whether or not, for example, Joe Biden, is allowed to order the military to take, for instance, the Supreme Court, and to have them, for example, murdered.

You’d think this would be an easy one but actually it looks like it’s gonna be kind of close.

I think if the Supreme Court is going to give Joe Biden the power to murder the Supreme Court that also means that Joe Biden has the power to ignore the Supreme Court.
@JuliusGoat Like the Dems would actually use it.
@JuliusGoat I think the Supreme Court is making a case that we should all ignore the Supreme Court.
@JuliusGoat but Joe Biden is not a Republican! Duh! Only republicans are above the law
@JuliusGoat yeah, but just to be safe, I mean, to drive home the point, cement a precedent...
@JuliusGoat @RiaResists How has no one responded with this yet:

@JuliusGoat

It is well established that life imitates art, but life should ask itself if imitating Bret Stephens articles is in fact the right course of action.

@JuliusGoat
They're going to shove it back to the lower courts so that Biden will have NONE of the powers they will ultimately grant Defendant Trump, so that Biden won't be able to save the country before the barbarians take over the gov't. The old fixeroo is in because Red states outnumber Blue states, 27-23 and the Republicans plan to nullify the election, throwing the election onto the House floor, with one vote per state. With the help of the SCOTUS, the GOP has destroyed America.
@JuliusGoat You understand, of course, that however SCOTUS eventually rules, it will only apply to REPUBLICAN Presidents. If Biden, or (God-forbid) Obama so much as jay-walked (or drank from the wrong water fountain, yes...) this SCOTUS would have them locked up, prosecuted and persecuted before you could say "Linch Pin".
If you're looking for consistancy in the mind of the American Conservative, you're looking in the wrong place, my friend.
@tersenurse @JuliusGoat well No, because he would have a 9 democrat SCOTUS.....

@JuliusGoat @Lazarou (disclaimer, you’re awesome, yes this is a wellackshually, sorry, but i have a point i think)

I think the “bribed” but actually covers for a deeper evil - that these fuckers ALREADY agree with those positions, so the money is to ease their paths, generally backslap, and affirm rather than to persuade. Surely there is a 27-syllable German word that captures this slight distinction, #deutschebahn #deutschland #deutschsprechenden #deutschepost #DeutscheGrammatik ?

#help #grammar #wordstodon

@JuliusGoat
My guess, after the #SCOTUS briefing, is that the extremist majority will immunize "core functions", like appointments and pardons.

And then we'll just have to trust that Presidents won't appoint partisans who stage a coup in exchange for pardons. It's a small risk to allow the most powerful leader in the world to feel " bold" in their job

/s

@JuliusGoat Hence why their approval rating is falling and will continue to do so. People are realizing it’s just another political institution rather than some nonpartisan delegator of justice (not that it ever was that but I think that was the perception).
@JuliusGoat They’re also ruling on whether the homeless have a right to exist
@JuliusGoat haha. They call it a no brainer for nothing

@JuliusGoat Should be any easy decision for grandpa Joe to order the execution of (most of) the justices then, any justice that says its allowed is pretty clearly committing treason on behalf of trump and should be executed without a trial..

I would assume this immunity extends to anyone ordered to commit such a task as well, hopefully there arent any impressionable mentally ill people who might think they're being told by a dog to eliminate political figures.

@JuliusGoat
I wish President Biden would embrace his inner Dark Brandon. He should thank Trump’s lawyers for arguing he can assassinate any Supreme Court justice whose opinion he disagrees with.

@JuliusGoat Too may commas! How dare you!

But yeah, how is this even a conversation. The president does not get immunity from crimes they committed. End.

@JuliusGoat The odd bit is that it seems like SCOTUS is more concerned about the precedent of the President pardoning themselves as they leave the White House more than they are about the President willfully murdering political rivals and having a get out of jail free card to do it.

We live in wild times.

SCOTUS doing its best to give the President the powers of king like it is 1775.
