I need a word for the turmoil in your soul when “being happy to go back to your home but at the same time being sad for leaving it”.
Dual citizenship, I live in one country and been visiting the other. It’s not just that feeling you get when you’re about to head home after a nice vacation, this is a deeper conflict of emotions at play.
I think I’m looking for something that encompasses the German “Sehnsucht”, Portuguese “saudade” and Japanese “mono no aware”.

I think the “bribed” but actually covers for a deeper evil - that these fuckers ALREADY agree with those positions, so the money is to ease their paths, generally backslap, and affirm rather than to persuade.
