It's the same mechanism that makes people take care of a subject as soon as they or someone close to them are affected.

and this makes perfect sense to them
all you have to do is understand what "rules" means to a #conservative:
rules are meant to control the other class, race, gender, sexuality, religion, etc. that is all rules are for
rules do not bind them in their eyes
this is the foundation of the conservative worldview and sense of "morality"

Debbie Belair@smellsofbikes I see this everyday where I live. Kelowna BC. There's a surplus of drivers speeding and another surplus with way over the limit noise craps attached to the cars and nothing gets done about it. The RCMP are actually afraid of these people.
