Instead of saying all Palestinians are Hamas, or all Israelis are Likud, listen to the people on both sides who want peace.

These days, the streets of Tel Aviv are filled with protests calling for Benjamin Netanyahu's resignation.

I applaud them.

Israel: Protesters call for Netanyahu to step-down | Israel-Hamas war

@randahl too late. Who cares? Bibi is not the problem. Racism is. Bibi is corrupt. Murdering Palestinians is not why heโ€™s in trouble.
@robmckenna you did not watch the video.

@randahl @robmckenna

I watched the video. The video does not address what Rob is talking about.

All these protesters are talking about are the Israeli soldiers and hostages. No mention of the 30,000+ Palestinians killed.

@anasalkhatib what is your interpretation of these two signs?

@randahl

High time to force them outโ€ฆ

@randahl unfortunately the global population seems to elevate psychopaths to positions of power, sometimes unwillingly & sometimes willingly, but they always seem to reach positions of power, the real issue is not all of them are natural psychopaths, quite a few of them are built in a system designed to create psychopaths, because it is a desired outcome within powerful bloodlines & they spend a lot of money turning their children into psychopaths...

@randahl

A fine post, art. Thanks.

@randahl these days? it is going to take far more than protests. The idea that protests make a difference is actually perpetuated by those their aimed at, a false sense of action being taken when it actually does nothing.......as we constantly see. You cant plead with the devil to leave, you must REMOVE HIM

@randahl

Not that it will happen but there are many who need be in front of a court to face very serious charges for what has happened.

@randahl The Anti-Netanyahu aren't always anti-genocide. They just want someone else in charge of it.
@randahl
Itโ€™s so refreshing to hear someone who sees more than one side of this.
Like Mastodon used to be.

@randahl

"One of the greatest tragedies of our existence is that we are a people united by so many common goals, but divided by so many uncommon beliefs.

I believe that our goals are more important. We all want to be free. We all want our children to be healthy and happy. Most all of us want peace so long as our own rights are protected.

These are the ideals that we can all strive for together. These are the threads of humanity that cannot be torn apart."
SearingTruth, A Future of the Brave, 2005

@randahl I agree, it is a fact that there is multiple generations born and raised in Israel that have to saying or control of what is happening, and they are victims as well
@randahl
Remember we had a similar problem when tRump was the fake president. Good people were incensed over here and disapproving around the world. Point being the rulers don't always represent the people. If we are not careful we could end up down the same road.
Vote Blue, keep the fascist red out...

@randahl Today at Standing Together's event in Philly, they told us "don't say 'I Stand With Palestine' or 'I Stand With Israel.' Say, 'I stand with the people in the land working for peace.'"
@randahl The vastmajority of those Israelis are not calling for peace though. They just want Netanyahu to resign for corruption and an inability to get the hostages back. They still mostly support the ongoing ethnic cleansing.
@randahl That's what i was saying to myself all along - everything lies in the poiliticians!
Both countries have very long tragic stories so instead of focusing on which one has it worse, they should go as so and protest for peace!
If i was them, that would be the most logical thing to do!
No bloodbath should be celebrated!
Kudos!
