@thisismyglasgow That is a lucky frog. I once walked the Edinburgh and Glasgow Union Canal and on the towpath I passed tens of dead frogs, apparently pecked to death by birds. Herons, perhaps?
@ApAlun Herons will generally swallow frogs whole, but crows will peck out the livers and leave the rest behind.

@thisismyglasgow In that case the ones I saw had been attacked by crows, as the bodies were left behind but had clearly been pecked open. It was quite gruesome - there were loads of them!
