Microsoft cares about your privacy.

But, we share your data with 728 partners.

How about Not sharing the data for privacy.

@Extelec It "cares" -- about how much money it can make from your information and how it can market itself so you think you have some privacy ...

@Extelec

Well, they care about getting it and make revenue from it, not about protecting it.

@Aedius @Extelec

Probably everyone has seen this already by now, but the European Commission will now either have to get rid of MS or force in-depth intervention into checking what MS actually does:

@Extelec - doesn't matter, you'll get hacked anyway.

@Extelec

You care about privacy, Microsoft? But if I have 728 partners I’m a bitch? Not fair at all.

@Extelec to be fair, Microsoft does care about your privacy, it cares about sharing your private data with 728 partners.
@greg @Extelec that's the 728 they tell you about. I get its 3 times that, if not more.
@Extelec 728 new friends! This will be the best birthday ever!!

@Extelec Well, as much as they care about anyone's privacy, they will always care more about money.

Always.

@Extelec Imagine if hospitals advertised like this!

We care about your health

BigHospital and our third party vendors remove some of your organs during surgery to improve our services and treatments. If you agree, our staff will personalize the contents of your viscera. You can select 'I Accept' to consent to these uses or drive across two states to exercise your right to object...

@Extelec @nixCraft Microsoft, the software version of your grandma that always says she cares about you deeply, but then gossips about your life chooses with her 728 best friends every afternoon tea.

@fuchsiii @Extelec @nixCraft Shit like that is why #Microsoft is a no-go for me and why I use @torproject / #TorBrowser as my default browser!

You don't protect your inalienable #HumanRight to #privacy by politely asking or saying no 728+ times but by screaming "FUCK YOU!" to ever single #Cookie and #Tracker in existance!!!

@Extelec Ah, same old, same old. We have a saying that goes something like "actions say more than words". Nuff said.
@Extelec Microsoft cares about your privacy... to the minimum extent allowable under the law.
@Extelec I guess you'd have to go to all 728 of them and see if they care about it as much as Micro$oft does 😂
@Extelec and you can either "accept" or modify to what WE want. What? "Decline"? What do you mean "decline"? Why would anyone decline?

@Extelec I also appreciate how they make so difficult to opt-out of every single one of them. Data collection should be opt-in. If it has to remain opt-out for whatever reason, make it easy and simple.

But nah. Why would they? After all, they care so much about our privacy.

Hopefully Europe's laws in this regard will spread to other regions and be a bit more convenient on the regular user's end.

@Extelec Um, mandatory Linux plug. I don't own a,windows box.

@sebsauvage @jipem Non mais franchement .... 728 ?!? Sérieusement ?!? Ça, c'est petit joueur ! Le record est à 1529, n'oublions pas que nous sommes en période olympique, il faut être au niveau !

@Extelec You misunderstand. They care about profiting by violating it.
@Extelec I don't know if it protects your privacy from this kind of abuse, but it is possible to log out of your Microsoft account and still use a PC to normal stuff.
@12thRITS @Extelec for now. They keep trying to close that loophole.
@Extelec Microsoft cares about your privacy (as a commodity).
@Extelec Microsoft cares means "is interested in", not necessarily "is interested in protecting" 😆
@Extelec much as when a call center has a recording that says "your call is very important to us." Is it? Actions speak louder than words.
@Extelec This is so ironic. Companies claiming to support your privacy, but having so many partners that they share your info with. I'm tired of greedy businesses treating consumers like they're a money tree.
