Hateful speeches in House of Commons from the Tories, the #Rwanda Bill passing and people announcing their shock that #Sunak is prepared to take the legislation to it's absolute limit.

Where you not paying attention to Brandon Lewis when he said they were going to break the law in a limited and specific way in relation to NI & Brexit, to keep the same nutters happy?

Once again, the British Government proving they are worthy of the title #PerfidiousAlbion in relation to international affairs

And the British media and the majority in #England once again proving they only pay attention when it is something that affects them directly.

It can happen in Scotland/Wales and NI, no one really pays attention. When it becomes relevant to the English - then all hell breaks loose.

Fair enough but can the English Government, media and many in the country, stop pretending that they care about the Union. They don't!

If you did you would be more aware of what was happening in the rest of it!

So let's start being honest with each other. I will start - there is a shared history within these islands and on the whole it's not a good one.

Scotland/Wales and NI have always been treated as second class citizens of this union. Our voices aren't equal and we can't decide our own futures without permission from Westminster (England)

Brexit broke the final ties that bind us together, mainly because of an English Nationalist vote for a fantasy & return to Empire.

We don't want that, the

legacy of Empire is yet to be ended in the relation to the UK union.

I have friends and family in England, I wish you no harm, I hope that you can restore sanity to the politics there, for all our sakes, while we are still part of this union.

However, I just don't want to be part of the UK union any longer. I would like your influence over the place I call home gone - the British ruling classes have done enough damage. It is time to go, so we can repair it.

It is time to #Think32

@[email protected] you're in Northern Ireland. I hope you restore sanity in politics there

@JohnLoader6

NI held an election nearly two years ago.

We voted for more pro-protocol MLA'S, we voted for more MLA's who want to work together. That result was ignored by our English SoS. He has chosen to let the #DUP dictate.

He may not care about us but he has a responsibility to the people here to act in our best interests not Jeff's!

He could give our public services the pay rise they need to bring them into line with GB. He could introduce legislation in parliament to reform how

@JohnLoader6

Stormont is formed but is refusing not too.

We could have a functioning government here if we had a SoS who actually paid some attention to what was happening here, instead of treading water.

@jacqui76 You chose them as much as the English chose their representation

@JohnLoader6

I certainly didn't vote for the mess we are in now...

Plus with the joy of a PR election I voted for everyone else bar the status quo!
