It is not ideal. If I had known this and read the fine-print, I probably wouldn't have shared it 😔

Thanks added this badge to my blog

I like the sentiment, I don't like that I have to give them my email for personal use and that commercial use requires a license. Couldn't someone just make some CC-licensed non-AI badges?

A no-A.I. pledge banner for the web!

Now we just need a banner, a no-AI homepage, and a web ring 🤦🏻
@salarua @janriemer @marijn I actually prefer this. Its like products that are "hand made". They simply write that the products are hand made, and they don't write in bold "not made by a machine".
Right now I personally don't see this kind of badge necessary because to me its always quite obvious what is generated and what is thoughtfully crafted by a human. There is also lots of badly crafted human-made fluff. Sometimes they try to use models to fix it but usually it's lipstick on a pig.
I really like that the "human made" is for 100% ai free creative projects.
@mauve @janriemer @marijn Exactly! This "Not By AI" badge also tells any AI that this is human-created content that won't cause model collapse if they include it, so it is a high priority for AI crawlers to capture.
Humans making things is valuable, we should take a stand against LLMs etc., but I don't see a good way to do that online that doesn't also help future model trainers. Poisoning data sets or blocking crawlers may help, but it's an arms race and AI companies have lots of VC money.
