And that's the John Wick franchise (so far, of course)! Amazingly, all 4 of these fell into my "good" category, which is remarkably consistent.
Also noting that last year on Aug 20 I watched my 51st movie of the year, so I'm *flying* past my 100 movies goal this year 😱

Highly recommend not watching the dubbed version of this. I toggled over a few times and the English acting is…rough. Subs FTW.

It feels more like a bad theme park ride than a film with an actual story to tell.

Not that it’s super important, but this movie might have the most obviously ADR’d lines in a movie I’ve ever seen.

Also Letterboxd is a great resource for seeing what other people are excited about right now, and I can always find something on the front page there if I'm not sure what to watch.
Brian DearInteresting. This was a smash blockbuster hit when it came out in 1987 ($320 million worldwide). Audiences loved it. Farthest thing from boring. I guess mileage varies.

Did you buy/rent it from Apple? I can’t find it when searching in the AppleTV app (Rec 2 and 4 are there through).
@alextm huh, weird, maybe an issue with rights in different countries? I was using the US store.
It was a lot of fun, though 😁
@matt I would give this one a rating of Great. The last 3 minutes are genuinely terrifying!
Also, the sequels are pretty good too.
