Chroot is my Init system.

@nixCraft I have nothing against systemd as an init system. I have *many* problems with freedesktop consuming the entirety of the system service space.

All the diehard systemd haters are a little boring these days. Unit files are so much more readable than ridiculous bash init scripts and much more maintainable.

@nixCraft a constructive approach to someone who isn’t invested in a solution complaining about an open source project they don’t really care about that much. I love it.

@nixCraft I tried Void Linux recently and was pleasantly surprised by the speed and leanness of runit (and Void's package system, as well). The main problem with avoiding systemd is that "everybody uses it". Resistance, as the comic suggests, is rather futile. Even if you hate it, you have to know it.

Devuan is a great distro, it offer an alternative to systemd, no matter if systemd is bad or not, its always good to have an alternative.
