@nixCraft I have nothing against systemd as an init system. I have *many* problems with freedesktop consuming the entirety of the system service space.

@rugk @nixCraft The user-space system services that are required to provide a useful running system. Things like logging and auditing, login services, network management, the system message bus, etc.

I said "space" in terms of the "Linux software development space". It wasn't a technical term.
