This FineWoven case is *so* bad, this may be the year I do the unthinkable (for me at least) and go case-less with my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
I've had $10 cases from Amazon feel more premium than this. š¬
Still decided to give the FineWoven case a fair try.
Went out for dinner with friends last night and set my phone on the table. Like I have done HUNDREDS of times since 2008.
Woke up this morning with a stain on the FineWoven case. š
I honestly think this is the worst accessory Apple's ever produced and I may just throw this out now. (Great for the environment!)

Stefan@viticci to be fair: you could probably create an insane amount of FineWoven cases for the CO2 footprint of a leather caseā¦I mean you are raising and killing an animal for leatherā¦however I agree that it should be more durable and probably is overpriced as well.

Frankenmichl@viticci I got a similar case from Peak Design, but this one is awesome. Still expensive, but I also love that it supports MagSafe and mechanical locking to their bike mount

MarkH@viticci I brought one and it arrived at the beginning of the week, I pulled open the friction packagingā¦looked at it for 30seconds, thought thatās at max a Ā£15 case not Ā£60ā¦put it back and arranged a return. Ordered a silicone case immediatelyā¦the safe marginally less extortionate choice.

@ChrisLawley @viticci Car manufacturers have made really good pleather nowadays. They could do that and still be better for the environment and not kill animals for the sake of a phone case.

Daniel@viticci It really seems like this was a āBIGā hit and miss from Apple, which is more surprising given how much thought goes into and how careful they are with their products. Will be very curious to see how they handle FineWoven from here.

Will@viticci always been case-less with my iPhones, especially as have AppleCare as my ācaseā protection.
I bought the fine woven MagSafe wallet in black and I like it better than the older leather version.

darkejon@viticci could this be the year Ticci goes pop socket? It really helps with hold-ability of a naked phone and doubles as a kickstand. I also recommend checking out OhSnap which is lower profile and allows you to utilise MagSafe (more securely) without having to remove it.

I used to be #teamNoCase until that time Iāve found a scratch on the 12 Pro Max screen after a week of use where I pampered it like it was baby Jesus š„²
Then I slapped a screen protector on it and a leather case was just the natural next step.

Frank Malinowski@viticci My problem with the FineWoven case is that I donāt feel secure holding it in my hand. The phone constantly feels like Iām going to drop it.
I do think it looks nice, but the feel in hand is the most important thing for me when it comes to a case. I have another case on the way and Iām looking at others. Itās a shame because for a few years, the Apple leather case has been an instant buy with no regrets.
