So, so excited to be digging into these betas tomorrow!
@pointfreeco is one of the best investments you can make in your ongoing career as an iOS engineer, and I’m so excited to see both TCA 2, and to dig into DebugSnapshots for exhaustive testing for reference types!
Loving the latest
@pointfreeco series on isolation in Swift. It’s excellent to see how to use locks safely, that they should *not* be used absolutely everywhere, and that Sendable should be applied surgically and precisely.
Excited to see how this affects TCA 2, and how to write safer, more performant concurrent Swift code!
Google dark patterns/crappy engineering means that if you turn off the Gemini recording for a meeting, it also turns off the “Save” button. Incredible work.
Aaaand it’s done it again – found me a discount code for £39 for another big purchase for our bathroom refurb!
Holy crap, I love Claude. It's just paid for itself this month and then some. I have the £18 a month subscription, and just asked it to find me a discount code. It found a few – some didn't work, but one did, saving me £25.26, MORE than paying for itself!

I’m so, so happy to say that I’ve been promoted at Depop, to a Senior iOS Engineer I 😁 Never received a promotion before, so I’m extra happy to receive this recognition!
It’s truly astonishing how many services are advertised on the Elizabeth Line, all perfectly designed to maximise shareholder value. A real inspiration.
Cardiff public transport has many, many problems compared to London’s, but at least I don’t have to see ads for CRMs, “amicable” divorce services, or fucking Lovable.
